HOW LONG IS A RENTAL CONTRACT?
A rental contract in Bahrain is usually for 12 months, thereafter the tenant holds over on the same terms and conditions but can terminate with one months notice
CAN YOU TERMINATE THE CONTRACT BEFORE THE END OF THE CONTRACT TERM?
If you loose your position most rental agreements include a specific clause, known as a ' Diplomatic Clause', that allows for earlier termination of the tenancy agreement.
DO YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR UTILITIES SEPERATLY?
Most Expat Rentals are inclusive of Electricity & Water, known as EWA up to a set monthly limit.
DO YOU HAVE TO PAY A DEPOSIT?
A 1 month deposit is required an entering into a tenancy agreement. The first payment will therefore comprise one months rent in advance and one months deposit. The deposit will then be offset against the one month termination period at the end of the tenancy
Yes, rent is paid monthly in advance apart from the first payment which comprises a month in advance and a deposit of one months rent.

WHAT I.D. DO I HAVE TO SHOW?
You will have to show either your Passport or the local CPR which all residents in Bahrain need to have.
HOW ANDÂ WHERE DO I GET MY LOCAL CPR CARD FROM?

ARE THERE EXPAT AREAS?
